The 660-meter overpass above the BAH junction plays an indispensable role in the traffic of Budapest, as it is actually the gateway to Lake Balaton. The huge bridge was built 45 years ago, and since then tens of millions of people have crossed it to reach Lake Balaton or the Adriatic. However, the construction also came at a price: a total of 73 flats disappeared due to it, and the old customs house was also demolished.

All roads lead to the Chain Bridge. This saying is true in that the length of the main roads starting from Budapest is calculated in kilometres from here, the Chain Bridge, more precisely from Clark Ádám Square on the Buda side. To mark this, the first 0-kilometre stone was inaugurated here on 7 May 1932, 90 years ago.

One of the most famous Hungarian scientists is immortalised in many reliefs and busts in Budapest, but previously he only had one life-sized statue: it was erected in 2016 in Pest, in front of the central building of the University named after him. Now a new statue has been placed in the Gesztenyés Garden in the 12th District of Buda, and the place is closely connected to him as well: his most famous invention, the torsion pendulum was produced in the predecessor of the Hungarian Optical Works operating next door.
Sas Hill: a place surrounded by urban legends

Hikers of Sas Hill ('Eagle Hill') in Budapest are in a very privileged position, as the area had been closed to the public for decades. Planning of new tramway for Southern Danube Bridge begins

The tramline for the future Galvani Bridge is being planned. The new, two-track, four-kilometre tramway will run from Fehérvári Road in Buda across the new Danube bridge and North Csepel, and over the new Ráckeve-Danube bridge to Gubacsi Road in Pest.
