The building of the Márton Áron Vocational College in Budapest was modernized

The 518-seat building of the Márton Áron Vocational College was renovated in the 3rd district Kunigunda road. The institution was placed under the management of Eötvös Loránd University in 2016, and in that year the government decided on the HUF 15 billion renovation. The first element of this is the modernization of the now handed over dormitory. In recent years, there have been improvements and modernizations in all ELTE colleges.
The demolished dome of the ELTE and BME buildings will be restored

The roofs of the historical domes of the buildings of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in Szent Gellért Square and the University Square of Eötvös Loránd University are being reconstructed. They were destroyed during the devastation of World War II. During the reconstruction, the roof ornaments connected to the dome will be rebuilt, as well as the demolished sculptural elements.
At the turn of the century, Balaton Café was the center of social life, today it is for university students

One of the exclusive cafés at the turn of the century was the Balaton Café [Kávéház in Hungarian], opened in 1894 on the corner of Rákóczi Road and Szentkirályi Street. The owner set himself no less a goal than to compete with the New York Café that opened at the same time. The café became the haunt of well-known politicians, famous actors, renowned writers, but its lavish interiors can unfortunately only be known from photographs today. Recently, university students took possession of the Szentkirályi Street wing, but there is nothing reminiscent of the luxurious past in the newly established examination center.
