The rich history of the past century and a half is presented on more than six hundred square metres at the exhibition that has just opened in Vigadó, Pest. Visitors can get to know the different types of monuments, the award-winning restorations of the past years, and the history of monument protection can be traced along a timeline.
Tamási Áron 125 – Exhibition opened on Andrássy road As part of the Áron Tamási commemoration year, the Hungarian Academy of Arts organized a fencing exhibition in honor of the great creator of Hungarian literature. The exhibition of 17 paintings related to the oeuvre of the writer, who was born 125 years ago, can be seen at 101 Andrássy road until October.
No viable idea was received for the tender for the design of the new museum of architecture The jury of the Hungarian Academy of Arts did not find any worthwhile project in the design competition for the design of the Hungarian Museum of Architecture and the Documentation Center for the Protection of Monuments. The new building will be built on the plot complex at the corner of Bajza Street and Városligeti Avenue in the former BM Hospital, once the appropriate tender is available.
Tender for the design of the Hungarian Museum of Architecture On the site of the former BM-hospital at the corner of Bajza street and Városligeti fasor, the Hungarian Museum of Architecture and Documentation Centre for Historic Monuments is being formed. After demolition work was completed in the summer, the site is now reduced to two historicised sanatorium buildings. The planned building will be smaller than the demolished houses, leaving a large green area on the site.
