The Péterhalmi Forest was enriched with 1,800 new trees

About 1,800 new trees were planted in the 18th district in the Péterhalmi forest. However, many sick and non-native trees had to be cut down before that. The aim was to increase the climate protection function and ecological value of the forest.

From our series of articles presenting the less known green areas of Budapest, the 18th District has been missing until now, although there are also parks and forests worth exploring there. The locals are certainly familiar with all corners of these, but the “Kökintúli” [Outside Kőbánya-Kispest] district also offers experiences for residents of more distant districts. We would like to show that every district has natural values, most of the time unfortunately in spite of very spoiled town planning.

In the exhibition presenting the former Neumann milieu, paintings, graphics, photos, furniture, and objects tell the story of the art-supporting spirit of the noble bourgeois family at the turn of the century.
