The new Petőfi exhibition opened at the PIM addresses the 21st-century people

In honour of Petőfi, who was born 200 years ago, a new, large-scale permanent exhibition opened today, 14 January, at the Petőfi Literary Museum (PIM). The institution's undisclosed goal was to bring the poet's work closer to the people of the 21st century, to our everyday lives: the importance of home, the importance of friends or the sacrifice made for our loved ones are all topics that we can easily identify with. Artefacts, special scenery and multimedia tools also help us to get familiar with the work of the poet. Topics that are still relevant today, in Petőfi's interpretation.
The interiors of Károlyi Palace are being renovated

The interiors of the Károlyi Palace in the 5th district, which has housed the Petőfi Literary Museum for sixty-five years, are being renovated. The restoration affects a listed one-storey, classicist building of about 1,730 square meters. As part of this, they will improve public traffic, restore the ornate gate, restore and expand the exhibition spaces, and make the building accessible. In 2000, during the complete renovation of the palace, the architecture that was finalized in the first half of the twentieth century being reversed. The palace is expected to be completed in the fall of 2022.
Endre Ady's downtown home is being renovated - Today the poet's former apartment is a museum

The Ady Memorial Museum on Veres Pálné Street is being renovated, where the poet lived between 1917 and 1919 with his wife, Berta Boncza. In the three-room apartment, the spaces will be renovated and a new room will be created for museum pedagogical classes.
Petőfi Literary Agency gifted House of Hungarian Writers, Óbuda Shipyard and Zichy Palace

The Petőfi Literary Agency, a subsidiary of the Petőfi Literary Museum, will be gifted several state-owned buildings in Budapest. According to plans, a pop culture and related arts centre will be created in the facilities of the Óbuda Shipyard and Zichy Castle by 2025.
