The roof structure of the University of Technology monument building is being renovated

Scaffolding has already been erected for the Danube-bank monument building of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Technology, and the renovation has begun. The two-story building designed by Samu Pecz is located south of the central headquarters of the university. The reconstruction of the roof on the northern side of the building was already completed, and now the restoration work has started on the other side as well.
Imre Steindl, who died 120 years ago, could not see the handover of the Parliament

Imre Steindl's name has merged with his main work, the Budapest Parliament. Thanks to one of the largest parliament buildings in the world, the master is included in the universal history of art, which can only be said of a few Hungarian architects. However, he had to work a lot to get to this point, fortunately, the main stages of his work can still be seen today, and they largely adorn the capital. The equestrian statue of András Hadik was unveiled in the Buda Castle 85 years ago

The work of the sculptor György Vastagh Jr., who also made the Csikós statue, was unveiled in 1937 in the small square at the intersection of Úri Street and Szentháromság Street in the presence of the country's leaders at the time. The statue commemorating the former warlord of the Habsburg Empire, András Hadik and the 3rd Hussar Regiment, has been associated with a strange custom among graduating students of the Műegyetem (Budapest University of Technology) since the 1950s.
The Royal Joseph Polytechnic University is 150 years old

The history of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics dates back to the 18th century, as one of its predecessors, the Institutum Geometricum, was founded in 1782, while the other, the Joseph College of Technology, was founded in 1844. Yet today's institution, independent and acting as a university on its behalf, was established 150 years ago, in 1871, when the king sanctified the statutes of the university.
