The name of the Templom (Church) Square in Kispest is eloquent, as three denominations also built their churches in this beautiful place: the Catholic, the Reformed and the Lutheran. The latter is the newest, although it is no longer young, since it was inaugurated on 22 May 1927, just ninety-five years ago. The special shape of its tower faithfully reflects the approach of the age of its construction, and its interior reflects Lutheran traditions.
Wekerletelep in Kispest also preserves the memory of the prime minister who passed away a hundred years ago

Wekerletelep with its special atmosphere is located in Kispest. Its smaller and larger houses form this fairytale-looking part of the city in a uniform style, arranged in streets that are inexplicable for an outsider, but are in a regular order. Its creation was initiated by Sándor Wekerle, one of the most prominent Hungarian prime ministers, who passed away a hundred years ago.
There was no place for it in the St. Stephen's Park - the statue of our founding king was erected in Kispest

The work was originally intended to replace the statue of György Lukács in Szent István Park, but the Capital decided otherwise, so the 2.5-metre-high bronze statue of our founding king ended up not in the park named after him, but in the Templom Square of the 19th District.
Statue of Saint Stephen to be erected in Kispest rather than Saint Stephen's Park

The statue of King St. Stephen will not be erected in the park named after him but on Templom Square in Kispest. The mayor decided this on 14 June based on his personal authorization ordered in the epidemic. The authorization was valid until June 15. Earlier, work was suspended in Szent István Park because the work would have taken up a green area even though it would have replaced an earlier sculpture.

Walking along the 1.6-kilometre path of the 10 signposts in Wekereletelep allows visitors to dive into the listed area's history. Looking through the peep-holes on the steel and wood posts highlights small but important details of the area.
Statue of Saint Stephen may be erected in Kispest, not Saint Stephen's Park

Budapest City Council to vote on the question of where a new statue of Saint Stephen will be erected on 30 September. The statue was originally planned for Saint Stephen's Park in the 13th District, but the proposal is to erect it on Templom Square in the 19th District. The Wallenberg Monument, the monument to Heroic Budapest Partisans, and a statue of Ferenc Fejtő currently stand in the park. The statue of the communist People's Commissioner György Lukács was removed in 2017.

In the exhibition presenting the former Neumann milieu, paintings, graphics, photos, furniture, and objects tell the story of the art-supporting spirit of the noble bourgeois family at the turn of the century.
