20 years ago, on the eve of Memorial Day for the Victims of Communism, the House of Terror, the former Arrow Cross and then Communist torture house, opened at 60 Andrássy Avenue. The interest was huge, almost a hundred thousand people appeared at the opening to get acquainted with two terrible periods of Hungarian history.

The Museum of Fine Arts is one of the most famous buildings in the country, without which the Heroes' Square is unimaginable. Yet this was erected the latest, it is ten years younger than the Kunsthalle opposite. However, its size and seriousness make this fact forgettable - and of course it is no longer young, it was opened to the public 115 years ago. In this context, Pestbuda presents its history and beautiful interiors, which house one of the richest art collections in Central Europe.
The unique collection of the Flag Museum will be on display again

The Hungarian Museum of Trade and Tourism hosts the Flag Museum, which has been operating in Józsefváros since 1995. In the spring, the local council decided not to support the institution, which closed in the room on the corner of József körút - Nap utca. After scientific processing, the collection will be re-presented to those interested in temporary exhibitions.
Museum of Transport opened 55 years ago after post World War II repairs

After a more than a two-decades-long forced break, the Museum of Transport opened in City Park on 2 April 1966. During World War II, in 1944, several bombs hit the building. Although the most valuable works of art were saved, the destruction was still immeasurable: in addition to the building, the bombing also caused significant damage to the collection.
Visuals for the renovation of the old Kelenföld railway station published

The Museum of Transport has published visuals of the planned conversion of the Budapest-Kelenföld railway station. The dilapidated station building closed in 2019. The Museum of Science, Technology and Transport will create a new exhibition space about the history of the railway in the building, which will also house temporary exhibitions. In a government decree on Tuesday, the renovation of the building was classified a priority investment.
