Ilona Tóth was a final year medical student who was an extern during the 1956 revolution became a symbolic figure of the communist regime's retaliation for the revolution. A new bust commemorating her has been unveiled in the courtyard of the Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Clinic and Hospital in Kőbánya.

On 26 March, the renovated Frangepán Street Reformed Church was handed over. The 13th District church was built in 1933, the tower was restored in 2017, and the roof and facade were renovated last year. By the time of the ceremonial handover, the building had completely recovered its form ninety years ago.

A memorial was inaugurated in the 4th District in honour of the Újpest soldiers who fell at the Don River in World War II. The work depicts the last marching column of soldiers marching far into the distance, on the reverse side of which five soldiers' graves can be seen.

The term turn of the century usually refers to the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s, the last two decades of happy times of peace. This period brought amazing diversity to the field of architecture, which appeared not only in large-scale public buildings but also in smaller residential buildings and villas. An excellent example of this is provided by some early villas of a little-known architect, Jenő Lechner, several of which were taken over by their new owners in 1908, i.e., one hundred and fifteen years ago.

From the Father of teachers to the hospital of the revolution - Sights of Péterfy Sándor Street

Péterfy Sándor Street is one of the characteristic streets of Külső-Erzsébetváros, the so-called Csikágó [Chicago, written as it is pronounced in Hungarian] quarter. It owes its fame mostly to its hospital and the events that took place there in 1956, but its namesake, the Hungarian "Father of teachers", also lived here. Its characteristic streetscape consists of residential buildings with circular corridors built during the Dualism, but it is also in contact with the country's first official kindergarten teacher training institute, a former brewery warehouse and a former market square. Art Nouveau on tombstones - An attempt to renew cemetery art

Around the Day of the Dead, many of us visit the graves of our loved ones, and at this time we can discover that the cemetery is also a repository of real works of art. At the beginning of the 20th century, Art Nouveau, which broke with classical forms, permeated this area as well, and artists tried to offer new solutions to those who ordered tombstones. One of the most enthusiastic of them was the sculptor Richárd Füredi, who together with two of his colleagues organised an exhibition to introduce his works reflecting the new taste to the general public.
The facade of the music school in Terezváros has been beautified

The facade of the Aladár Tóth Music School, located in the historic environment at 19-21 Szív Street in the 6th District, has been renovated. The prestigious building was built in 1874 based on the designs of Frigyes Feszl. The courtyard shared with the Erkel school is also being transformed.
