MTI reports that the 1st Ordinance and Naval Regiment of the Hungarian Defence Forces announced on Facebook that almost 80 different explosive devices, presumed to be from a World War II artillery position were found in Buda.

They report that the unique projectiles were found during recent earthworks in Csörsz Street in the 12th District. The soldiers identified German shrapnel shells with a diameter of 10,5 cm, 10 cm German and 10,5 cm Hungarian cumulative shells and Hungarian high explosive shells. Several Spengatrone Z destructive charges designed to destroy 10,5 cm guns were also found. These allowed deployed soldiers to destroy their artillery equipment in the event of a hurried retreat.

The devices were in transportable condition and were moved to the central collection point of the Hungarian Defense Forces to be destroyed. No restrictions were ordered during the operation.
