The operator of the nursery reports on iskolanoverek.hu that the Patrona Hungariae Nursery, a sub-institution of the Patrona Hungariae Catholic School Centre, has been re-opened after a large-scale renovation and expansion of the building.

Renovation of the building – owned by the local council, which provided 500 million HUF for the project – began in April 2019.

A new floor has been added to the building adding two further group rooms to the previous four. A new PE room, offices and skills development rooms have also been created. A lift has been added to the building. All internal tiles and wall coverings have been replaced, the electric wiring and pipes of the building modernised. Solar panels installed on the roof provide renewable energy to the building.

The inner courtyard of the nursery was also completely transformed. Safe toys have been installed, alongside the new plants. A colourful protective floor covering increases safety, while a water fountain and mist gate will increase comfort in the summer heat.

From September the nursery will operate with six groups, and children will be accepted from beyond the designated catchment area. Two-and-a-half-year old children will be accepted into a smaller group. The nursery aims to nurture Hungarian language, musical skills, and focuses on teaching and maintaining traditional European values.
