Design renders of the Ecseri Road metro station and its surroundings

The winning tender was selected, based on which the Ecseri Road metro station and its surroundings will be renovated. The design renders show that there will be pavilions with glass walls and new plants. The surface arrangement of the metro station is expected to begin in the spring of 2023.

The winner of the tender for the surface arrangement of the Ecseri Road metro station was announced, reads the Facebook page of the Ferencváros Local Council. As they write, the expert jury selected the work of Garten Studio Ltd. out of six competing applications.

Pestbuda previously reported that the area around the Ecseri Road metro station is being renovated. In May, the 9th District Local Council announced a tender for the arrangement of the Ecseri Road metro station and its surroundings. The renovation affects an area of approximately 10,300 square metres at the corner of the József Attila housing estate, at the junction of Ecseri Road and Üllői Road, including the area connected to the metro station, the parking lot next to the grocery store, and some sections of the Ecseri Road – Üllői Road – Dési Huber Street. During the reconstruction, the road crossing the area will be removed, and the bus stops will be moved to the edge of the square, so there will be more space for new plants.

The 13th District church was built in 1933, the tower was restored in 2017, and the roof and facade were renovated last year. By the time of the ceremonial handover, the building had completely recovered its form ninety years ago.

A musical smart bench was handed over in City Park
