The St. Michael's Church in Angyalföld has regained its old glory as the exterior renovation of the building under 17B Babér Street was recently completed. On 11 September, the church was blessed as part of a holy mass which was celebrated by Cardinal Péter Erdő - read on the szentmihaly.hu page.

The St. Michael's Church in the 13th District, showing Neo-Romanesque forms, was designed by Ernő Foerk, the architect of Szeged Cathedral. Construction began in 1929, and the church was consecrated in September 1930.

The two-tower building on the plot at the corner of Babér and Tomori Streets was built of reddish brick and white stone; geometric shapes made up of the combination of the two colours decorate the outer wall of the church.

The financial support for the renovation was largely provided by the Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest, and to a lesser extent by the Office of the President of the Republic and the 13th District Local Council, as well as by donations from the faithful.
