The starting price of the villa at 7B Vérhalom Square in the 2nd District was 496,818,000 HUF, according to the information still available today on the electronic auction page of the Hungarian National Asset Management Inc. It was possible to bid from 30 September, and only those who had paid the 124 million HUF auction security deposit could participate.

The house - which consists of a basement, ground floor, first floor and attic levels - was built on a plot of 1854 square metres. "The property is located in the Vérhalom part of the 2nd District of Budapest and is surrounded by villa buildings of a similar age and 6-9-unit apartment buildings built in the 1970s and 1980s. The property can be accessed from a paved road," reads the auction notice.

Several people were interested in the property, which can be seen from the fact that the prospective buyers - who do not know each other, as their purchase price offer appears next to a code number at the online auction - bid against each other. This is probably the reason why the bidding diary could not be closed by the originally announced 9 p.m. on 7 October, as the auction closed on 8 October at 10:30 p.m.

The purchase price at the auction was 833,818,000 HUF, and the winning auctioneer must pay the money (minus the amount paid as security) in one lump sum by bank transfer within thirty days of signing the sales contract. If they cannot do this for any reason, they will lose the 124 million HUF.

The building was auctioned together with the movables, and the starting price of the lot consisting of 118 items - which was also listed in the auction - was 5,518,000 HUF. It is not yet known who the lucky winner of the electronic auction is.
