Budapest has initiated a community planning process regarding the future of Római-part. Budapest.hu writes that the aim of the process is to create a long-term vision for the area beyond ensuring flood protection.

The goal of the vision planning exercise is to discern what residents and visitors would like Római-part to be like in twenty years' time. The process encompasses the beach area, the pathway, and the section between Nánási Street and Királyok Street. Planners hope to learn what the people of Budapest consider values that should be protected, and which areas they hope to see change in.

Hospitality service providers and sports service providers are key stakeholders on Római-part and are also being involved in the planning process. Their views are being collected through online forums, subject to pre-registration.

The planners will accept ideas, comments, and proposals from the general public until 30 October 2020 through the online survey on the following address: https://romai.budapest.hu/
