The official tourism and marketing organisation of Budapest will now operate under the name Budapest brand – announced the new organisation through the MTI. Budapest Brand was created through a merger of BVA (Budapesti Városarculati Nonprofit Kft. – 'Budapest cityscape') and BFTK (Budapesti Fesztivál- és Turisztikai Központ – Budapest Festival and Tourism Centre). The new company will handle all tasks connected to shaping the city's brand, and tourism strategy, cultural content and the organisation of festivals and fairs.
