Szentlélek Square, one of the busiest public transport junction in Óbuda is to be renovated. Tóhe old stalls were demolished in January and will be replaced soon.

As reported by the District newspaper, the Minőségi Óbudáért ('for a quality Óbuda') consortium one the tender announced to design the new square. The local council previously stated that the goal of the renovation was to ensure "visitors encounter a square with a consistent design fitting to its historical surroundings."

The local council will now sign a contract with the winning consortium to allow preparations to begin. The plans will be carried out in several phases. In the first, a grill breakfast cafe, a tobacco shop and public restrooms will be built on the square. The central building will be completed in the second phase, within three years. 

The renovation's long-term goal is to allow the square to host community events, such as bike breakfasts, and ensure that the square remains orderly and clean.
