The surroundings of Puskás Arena will be reorganised in two phases. In the first phase, a public park of more than one hundred thousand square metres has been created, filled with promenades, fountains, playgrounds, a running track and sports fields.

The area is the size of four Heroes' Squares. Toilets and public Wifi were also installed. Special attention was paid to the cleanliness of the park; waste will be collected selectively. Balázs Fürjes, Secretary of State, responsible for the development of Budapest and its agglomeration, reported the opening of the park on his Facebook page.

As a result of the renovation, the surroundings of the BOK Hall have been transformed. The area in front of the Geradich Aladár National Sports Hall was also renewed. Balázs Fürjes emphasised that the well-known statues, the Dromosz was also saved as part of the development.
The park is also the city's newest event centre, as it can host events and concerts.

In the next phase, after the European Football Championship, basketball, handball courts, a rollerblading course and small football fields will make the area even more exciting for those looking for active rest.
