The local council is planning a community space next to the Árasztó Road dam

The Danube Bank area on Árasztó Road in the 11th District would temporarily function as a new public space from the end of August. The local council and the City and River Association (Város és Folyó Egyesület - Valyo) would set up picnic tables and sunbeds to promote the shoreline, the Újbuda district newspaper reported.

In the 11th District, between Kondorosi Road and Fibula Street, right on the bank of the Danube, next to Árasztó Road, the Albertfalvi dam runs. There is a bike path in the flood defense area, and many people often walk their dogs on the shore. The view is not very idyllic: on the other side of the Danube, the industrial facilities of Csepeli Harbor can be seen, and behind the dam, in the 11th District, there are also industrial facilities and sites.

The district local council and the City and River Association (Valyo) are now working to create a new public space in the area next to the dam from the end of August, writes the district newspaper Újbuda. According to the idea, picnic tables, sun loungers, and fire pits will await visitors on the shore.
