Work began last fall and will continue from 20 January to 31 March this year. Currently, the tree line is maintained from Széll Kálmán square to the Budakeszi road branch of Hűvösvölgyi road, during which 367 trees have to intervene in accordance with the preliminary condition surveys. In most cases, the trees are in a condition that can be restored by twigs in almost 250 cases, and in the case of almost 110 individuals, “personalized” trimming can only be achieved. However, the condition of 16 trees is so bad that, for safety reasons, only their removal is possible.

Instead of the total of 32 trees felled last autumn and now, new tree specimens will be planted within 1 year in accordance with the replacement obligation.

In its announcement, Főkert points out that in case of windy weather, the tree line has received many reports of broken branches and falling trees, so it has become increasingly timely to create a comprehensive, uniformly maintained tree line so that residents and commuters can walk safely under the trees and to enjoy their beauty for a long time.
